Charles may have returned to Malta as I have him also arriving at St. John, New Brunswick in March 1922. His mother, Concetta, was living in Tarxien at the time. By May 10, 1922, Charles was in Detroit where he was issued a declaration of intention to become a permanent citizen of the US. He married a divorcee on August 18, 1945, in Detroit. He was 55 years old at the time and this was his first marriage.
